Nasir Rafiq is a trusted authority in financial governance and investigations, combining deep technical expertise with real-world leadership in charities, government and business.
As a Fellow Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) and experienced senior executive, Nasir advises boards and leadership teams facing governance crises, regulatory inquiry or reputational risk.
He has led independent governance reviews for the Charity Commission, directed complex HR and fraud investigations in central & local government, charities and businesses, and guided transformational reforms in major organisations.
Nasir has served as the Finance & Corporate Director at Islamic Relief Worldwide. His earlier career included over eight years at PwC UK and KPMG UK, auditing and advising local and central government, NGOs, and education bodies, followed by senior roles in internal audit at Compass Group PLC, a FTSE 100 multinational. He has worked as a Associate Partner at a Top 15 Chartered Accountants firm, leading national governance advisory services for the charity and business sectors before he founded Dua Governance.
Nasir also teaches, writes and speaks on governance, using his platform to promote integrity, accountability and sustainable reform based on faith principles. He is passionate about integrating values with professional rigour, helping institutions not only survive scrutiny — but emerge stronger.
